Deepa Gautam-Nigge – Senior Director within SAP´s Corporate Development focusing on M&A – is widely known as a “mediator between the different worlds of innovation” – bridging academia and industry, corporate, VC and startup VC world – and is convinced that innovation only happens when you compile various perspectives from a diverse network. As an expert for “ecosystem innovation” she is active as a guest lecturer (e.g. TUM, EBS, HSG), mentor for startups, but also serving Advisory Boards for companies such as Earlybird VC, AUXXO Beteiligungen GmbH and Schmitz Cargobull AG or de:hub initiative of Germany´s Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs – and thus, as recently written in the Handelsblatt (a German Business Daily), a role model for the new generation of innovation managers.
Deepa holds an MBA, focusing on Technology and Innovation Management from RWTH Aachen and started her career more than 20 years ago in a VC-backed startup – which was a university spinoff that established one of the very first B2B platform business models in the German market.
