My Startup and Me
When people ask me what I do for a living I reply:
I am CEO of sharemagazines. Our app helps you to pass your time in a doctor’s waiting room, in a clinic, at the hair salon, café or hotel.
If I wanted to explain my business model to my grandmother I would say:
Granny, the magazines, which you always read when you are at the doctor’s, are now available on a phone!...No, the phone with a touchscreen not the one with the rotary dial. And guess what, your magnifier is already implemented, too.
My idea will change the content industry because...
…Digital reading is rapidly becoming the norm because readers are provided with content where they need it the most.
My work makes me happy when…
…I realize that we are slowly moving forward and we are increasingly close that our vision becomes reality.
To be able to work well I need…
…a great team by my side, coffee and fun on the job.
My best experience until now:
1. Talk to as many people as possible about your idea – networking is the key to success.
2. Be brave and believe in your idea.
3. Honesty is the best policy.
Never again would I…
So far we’ve learned from all our mistakes. Therefore, I believe mistakes are unavoidable and a necessity for the progress of a business.
When I meet investors I…
…will welcome him with a “Moin” and present my company in no more than 30 seconds.
When I overcome the next obsticle,…
…we are going to rock the final round.
If everything happens as planned now, in five years my company will…
…have become the number one app for location based media and will be established at least around Germany.
If I had a free wish…
… I would wish for the win at CONTENTshift2016, of course!
In ten years content will be…
…provided in a digital form exactly where the user needs it. Information and content will be bound to a specific location and accessible at all times.
