It is crucial for the success of digitalisation that we are open to innovations and modern technologies. Not only in the development of new products and services, but also in their application. I'm very happy to be part of the CONTENTshift jury so that I can support fresh ideas and contribute to digitalisation. Martina Fiddrich

Cornelsen Group

For more than seven decades, people teach and learn with educational media from the Cornelsen Gruppe. In this time, Cornelsen has helped more than 90 million pupils, teachers, grown-up learners and people in training to realise their potential. And to discover new perspectives.
The Cornelsen Group ranks among the leading suppliers of educational media in the German-speaking region. In their main site in Berlin and in five other locations, more than 1,300 people are employed in renowned brands such as Cornelsen Cornelsen, Duden, VERITAS or Verlag an der Ruhr.

Martina Fiddrich

As Managing Director in Marketing and Sales, Martina Fiddrich is responsible for all marketing and sales activities at Cornelsen. With her experience in the IT sector for strategy development in marketing and sales, their implementation and her extensive leadership experience, she is driving the course of digitalisation that Cornelsen has embarked on. Her goal is bringing the best products and services for teachers and learners to the market, thus enabling educational equity and individual learning success.

Olaf Carstens

Olaf Carstens has had strong ties to the book industry and the German Publishers and Booksellers Association for years. After his studies of history, social sciences and pedagogy, his path lead him to the publishing industry. After having worked in the management of Egmont and Herder, among others, he has been working for the Cornelsen Education Group since 2014. Here he is responsible for the sales organisation in Germany and abroad, the licensing sector and is also a member of the Board of Directors of Cornelsen Schweiz AG. Mr Carstens is involved in the Börsenverein as spokesman for IG Lernmedien and on the election committee of the Berlin-Brandenburg regional association. Nationally, he is a member of the "National Research Data Infrastructure Industry Advisory Board".

Digital meets Publishers; for a start, that might sound like parallel universes that rather exist next to each other than together. This is where CONTENTshift comes in: Thinking in new business models as well as learning from each other on eye level. Olaf Carstens
