Last year, the Herder publishing house, the centrepiece of the Herder Group, celebrated the 225th anniversary of the first Herder book in 1798. Today, Herder publishes around 350 novelties a year and is responsible for more than a dozen magazines. Herder is one of the leading publishers in the fields of theology, religion, education, lifestyle, society, politics and history. The Herder Group portfolio also includes former start-ups such as Kitalino GmbH, Pondus GmbH and QiK GmbH. They employ well over 200 people at the Red House in Freiburg and at the locations in Munich and Berlin, and work together both analogue and remotely.
He is a partner and managing director of Verlag Herder GmbH and Kitalino GmbH. He is a business economist, management consultant, agile coach and Lions Club Vice President. After his first position at Verlag Herder from 2008 to 2014, he was Head of Marketing and Head of Global Product Owner at an online agency and led global teams in the industry from 2014 to 2019. He has been back at the Herder Group since 2019, responsible for strategic digital transformation, organisational development and investment management, among other things.
