The five finalists for this year’s CONTENTshift startup competition will pitch their business concepts live on stage. Only one will be named the “Content Startup of the Year 2018” and receive 10,000 Euro in funding. (Everyone is welcome to stop by)

1. Startup Breakfast

Start your first day at the fair with our startup breakfast. Connect with other members of our startup club and with the CONTENTshift participants.

2. Guided Tour 1 (German)
When: 10 October 2018, 10:30 AM-12:30 PM
Where: Frankfurt Book Fair, Starting point: Hall 3.1, Zentrum Börsenverein
After the startup breakfast, you will have the opportunity to join a guided tour (in German) throughout the fair by book market expert Adrienne Schneider. Not only will the tour introduce you to industry participants, but also allow time for networking. Please send us a short note if you want to join the tour.

3. Guided Tour 2 (English)
When: 10 October 2018, 10:30 AM-12:30 PM
Where: Frankfurt Book Fair, Starting point: Hall 3.1, Zentrum Börsenverein (working centre of the German Booksellers and Publishers Association)
After the startup breakfast, you will have the opportunity to join a guided tour throughout the fair, led by US education consultant Michael Jay (Educational Systemics). Not only will the tour introduce you to industry participants, but also allow time for networking. Please send us a short note if you want to join the tour.

4. GESAwards
When: 10 October 2018, 2 – 4 PM
Where: Frankfurt Book Fair, Pavillon in Agora
European Finals of the GESAwards (Global EdTech Startup Awards). Pitches by European Ed-tech start-ups that have previously won their local GESAwards in their respective countries, followed by the awards ceremony. The winner will participate in the Global Final in London to be held in January 2019.

5. Startup club Speed Dating
When: 10th October 2018, 5-6 PM (tentative date)
Where: Frankfurt Book Fair, Hall 3.1, Zentrum Börsenverein
Speed dating session with industry companies and potential partners. Conversation partners are switched after 10 minutes allowing for maximum networking.
